Inevitably, your staff will occasionally misplace their Expensemate card leaving you as an organisation potentially at risk. You can use the Expensemate portal to mitigate that risk by placing either a temporary freeze on the card until you find it again (maybe your employee is out on site and the card is in the van or back at home) or cancel it altogether if you know it’s either lost or stolen. In this article, you learn how to do this.
If a card is lost this feature enables you to temporarily block a card until you relocate it. To access this feature, login to the Expensemate home screen and follow the steps outlined below:
No purchases can be made on the card whilst the block is in place, but this is not permanent and can be reversed at any time.
Having opted for a Temporary Block of the card, you have the option of unfreezing the card as and when the card is relocated. In this instance, follow these steps:
The card is now ready to use again.
If your card is permanently lost or stolen and you want to cancel the card altogether, this can be performed on the desktop app too.
The card is now canceled and no further purchases can be made. If the card needs to be replaced, please click here to order a replacement.
