We’re improving our product and introducing some exciting new features. To fund these developments and to make sure our pricing is fairer for organisations with both regular and infrequent users, our prices are changing.
Expensemate’s new structure is a hybrid of subscription and usage-based pricing. Users pay a fixed amount based on the number of expenses they have for the average month. If they exceed the amount of expenses they get each month, they pay more.
For example, a customer might pay £1000 per month for 3000 expenses. Every additional expense beyond the allotted 3000, will cost them 30p.
All customers must subscribe to Expensemate for a minimum of 1 year, for on-going training, live customer support and to demonstrate partnership.
To benefit our customers, we’re introducing mileage tracking, carbon accounting and developing an integrated carbon offsetting platform. Allowing users to take control of their expenses and carbon emissions with a single solution.
Increasing user fees or adding additional membership tiers, seemed counterproductive and unfair. So, we decided to keep our prices as low as possible by establishing a minimum subscription length and introducing a hybrid subscription and usage-based pricing model. Having a hybrid system makes it easier for businesses to budget their expenses compared to a usage based system.
We’re also developing new features, for users who make fewer purchases, including non-card transactions and virtual cards.
Our previous user-based model made it more difficult for customers to roll out Expensemate across their organisations, by discouraging infrequent spenders from using the platform. So, they had to resort to managing employee expenses with multiple tools and processes.
To stop this from happening and to make rolling out Expensemate easier, we’re making it as simple and affordable as possible for infrequent spenders to use our system.
Change can be scary, but our new features are well worth it.
